Labile Lahar

Labile Lahar is completely new ensemble and consists of Camila Nebbia, an Argentine-born saxophonist who has since settled in Berlin, along with musicians based in Helsinki: percussionist Joonas Leppänen and guitarist Jukka Kääriäinen. The ensemble's music draws from the European and American traditions of improvised music, with influences from notable figures such as Cecil Taylor, Anthony Braxton, Peter Brötzmann, and Derek Bailey. The ensemble's focus is on exploring the interaction between collaborative composition and free improvisation within the frameworks of jazz, experimental music, and contemporary music.
